Katie Boxdorfer Smith, PT (Clinic Director)
Katie has more than 24 years of outpatient physical therapy experience in the St. Louis area. She is a St. Louis native, growing up in South City and is a 1992 graduate of Saint Louis University with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy.
Her experience includes a variety of orthopedic injuries and she's worked extensively with patients post surgery as well as general orthopedic issues. Her primary area of experience and interest has been working in orthopedic/sports medicine, and she has treated a variety of individuals ranging from high-level amateur to professional athletes to "weekend warriors." She also specializes in strength and conditioning for all types of individuals. Katie shares her love of athletic training with local high schools and soccer clubs and she continues to expand her manual skills and therapy techniques with ongoing continuing education in orthopedic and sports medicine.
Her treatment philosophy is to empower patients through education, posture correction, and exercise to overcome injuries, with the goal of helping patients reach their treatment goals and return to their optimal level of physical well being. Outside work, Katie enjoys spending quality time with friends and family and enjoys watching Cardinal games at Busch Stadium.
Ken Costello, MPT
Ken was born and raised in St. Louis and graduated in 2002 from Saint Louis University with his Master of Physical Therapy. Ken played Division I soccer at SLU and was on the SLU Men’s Soccer Team that made it to the final four in 1997. Ken also played professionally with the St. Louis Steamers for 2 years while finishing his graduate degree, and continues to play competitively.
Ken has over 14 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics. He likes treating athletes of all ages from those in youth sports to all the older athletes who enjoy playing recreationally or competitively for both surgical and non-surgical issues.
Ken stays up to date with continuing education and incorporates manual therapy treatments learned through NAIOMT into treating all areas of the body.
In his free time, Ken enjoys spending time with his family and attending his kids’ activities as well as playing soccer, golf, running and hiking.
Jessica McFadden, DPT
Jessica is from St. Louis, and graduated from Maryville University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Jessica enjoys treating patients of all ages however she has a special interest in treating the geriatric and athletic populations. Jessica volunteered for a program designed for athletes with disabilities and has been through therapy for soccer related injuries. These experiences have led her to a career in physical therapy. In her free time, Jessica loves playing soccer, boating, reading, going to Cardinal games, and biking on the Katy Trail.
